Apartmento
Privacy Policy for Apartmento
Effective Date: July 2026
At Apartmento, your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our application and services. Because apparently every app now needs a legal document confirming that yes, data goes somewhere, and no, we're not doing anything sinister with it.
By using Apartmento, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Phone number (only if you contact us via WhatsApp)
- Messages and communications sent through the app
- Device and app usage information
- Saved/bookmarked listings, stored locally on your device
- Location information where necessary, to show relevant listings
Apartmento does not require account creation to browse listings or save properties. Bookmarks stay on your phone, not our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Connect you with our team when you inquire about a listing
- Improve app functionality and performance
- Provide customer support
- Prevent fraud and misuse of the platform
- Send important updates and notifications
Apartmento does not sell users' personal information to third parties. A rare modern phenomenon. Like reasonable rent in Masaki.
3. Listings
All property listings on Apartmento are posted and verified directly by our team. Users cannot create or upload listings. This means listing accuracy is our responsibility, not something we're disclaiming onto you — though we still encourage you to verify property details and ownership independently before making any commitments.
4. Contacting Us
When you tap to inquire about a listing, you're connected directly via WhatsApp or phone call. These conversations happen on those platforms according to their own privacy terms, not ours. We don't store WhatsApp message content on our servers.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.
However, no internet service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection of your data. Humanity connected refrigerators to Wi-Fi and called it progress. Security became optional somewhere along the way.
6. Delete Your Data at Any Time
Since bookmarks are stored locally, you can clear them anytime by clearing app data on your device. For any other data we hold (such as inquiry records), you may request deletion by contacting us directly.
7. Payments Disclaimer
Apartmento does not process financial transactions. Any rental agreements, deposits, or payments between you and a landlord or agent are arranged entirely outside the app.
Apartmento is not responsible for financial disputes, agreements, losses, scams, or damages resulting from arrangements made after contact. Please use caution when dealing with new contacts. An ancient survival technique somehow still relevant in the app era.
8. Children's Privacy
Apartmento is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it as quickly as possible.
9. Third-Party Services
Apartmento may use trusted third-party services such as cloud storage, analytics, translation services, or maps. These services may collect limited technical information according to their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review those policies separately.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page along with a revised effective date.
